Atomic Museum – The mission of the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation is to preserve and foster public accessibility to the history associated with the Nevada Test Site and the nation’s nuclear weapons program. The NTS Historical Foundation promotes and supports cultural, educational, and scientific programming to encourage the development and public exchange of views regarding the Nevada Test Site and its impact on the nation. The major program of the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation is the National Atomic Testing Museum. Designated as a private National Museum in December 2012, the National Atomic Testing Museum is charged by Congress to preserve the history of and educate the public about the nation’s nuclear testing program. The Museum also upholds the mission of the Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation. During this tour, you’ll have a chance to explore a history of nuclear testing, focusing on the United States’ atomic weapons development program. You can learn about the Manhattan Project, which led to the development of the first atomic bomb, and subsequent nuclear testing conducted during the Cold War era. Fall of Atlantis Fountain Show – If all shopping malls had special effects and fireballs, there’d be a lot fewer bored husbands in the world. The Fall of Atlantis show inside the Forum Shops at Caesars is an animatronic display of fire, water and nine-foot-tall talking statues. The story is set in the kingdom of Atlantis, when King Atlas has to decide which of his kids will rule the throne. Your sibling rivalry doesn’t even come close to these two fit-throwers. Sure, you may have fought over toys, food or even listened in on each other’s phone calls, but this feud is pretty fierce. In the end, the family learns the ultimate lesson when their godly kingdom falls below the ocean’s depths. The costumes and props were created by the same team who worked on Thor and Pirates of the Caribbean and there’s also a 20-foot winged dragon. Let’s be honest, you just don’t see that every day. The show plays Thursday – Monday every hour on the hour, starting at noon and ending at 8 p.m. While you’re there, check out the 50,000-gallon aquarium nearby filled with more than 300 saltwater fish

Fountains of Bellagio – While you may think choreographed routines are limited to showgirls and stage performances, the Fountains of Bellagio gyrate just as fabulously as the rest of our top-notch performers. One of the most popular attractions in Vegas, and for good reason, the free shows are choreographed to more than 30 different songs you may not have on your iPod but you’ll probably want to download later. This 8.5-acre lake has 1,214 jets that rocket streams of water 460 feet into the air. The attraction was created by WET Design. The shows are so complex, there’s a staff of 30 working seven days a week, 365 days a year to clean, maintain and make emergency repairs on the fountains between shows. It takes a village, folks. The dancing streams of water are illuminated from within and jut out sporadically to the pulse of whichever song is playing. They shimmy, twirl and spin — they also happen to be perfectly timed to a crescendo of oohs and ahhs from the surrounding crowd. For the first time in history, Bellagio has added an EDM show created by DJ powerhouse Tiësto. His act joins the ranks of mega-superstars like Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and the Beatles. The array of musical genres are so diverse it’s like having a jukebox (remember those?) in the middle of a sprinkler system on steroids

High Roller Observation Wheel – The High Roller in Las Vegas isn’t your average Ferris wheel. And it’s not really a Ferris wheel; it’s an observation wheel — the biggest in the United States at a staggering 550-feet-tall. Yes, you read that right: 550 feet. That’s nine feet taller than the Singapore Flyer and 107 feet taller than the London Eye. The High Roller is comprised of enclosed and air-conditioned transparent pods holding around 40 passengers each. The pods are roomy with a couple benches and the ride is smooth, not typically bothering those with a minor fear of heights. From boarding to exit, the entire experience is about 30 minutes long (be sure to hit the bathroom before you board). Along the way, you enjoy in-cabin video and music shows while witnessing a truly unparalleled 360-degree view of Las Vegas both day and night. With panoramic views of the Strip, the valley and the mountains, there’s something to see from every angle. But the southwest corner (your immediate right when you enter the pod) offers the best Strip views at the highest point. If you happen to nab this sweet spot, be courteous to other riders. There may be up to 39 other people riding with you in your pod. They want photos too. Just as the High Roller has transformed the Las Vegas skyline, a ride inside it may transform you. After a spin on this wheel, your view of Vegas will likely never be the same
